Del Mar Adventures began as a love letter to the sea, and evolved into a space for connection in hand picked magical destinations. Founded by María del Mar Alfaro, a lifelong surfer, and active conscious traveler, the brand grew from her desire to share not just breathtaking landscapes—but the profound inner shifts they inspire.
Del Mar is a global wellness brand rooted in Latin soul and feminine leadership. We offer curated experiences for those who are not just looking to escape—but to remember who they are.

MEET THE FOUNDER

María del Mar Alfaro, a proud Costa Rican and ocean lover, turned her passion for the sea into a life purpose over a decade ago when she founded Del Mar Surf Camp. What began on the beaches of Jacó, Nosara, and Santa Teresa has since evolved into Del Mar Adventures — a space where movement, nature, and joy come together. As a soulful guide, María weaves her local roots, love for connection, and intentional practices into every experience she creates.
María del Mar realized that well-being went beyond the waves. She noticed that those attending her camps were seeking something deeper: to reconnect with their essence, to find balance between body and mind, and to live more consciously. And so, Del Mar Adventures was born — a natural and powerful evolution that integrates practices like yoga, Pilates, meditation, functional training, surfing, hiking and mindful activities into boutique experiences, set in exotic destinations that include the lush cloud forests of San Gerardo de Dota, the wild beauty of Matapalo, and the vibrant coastal energy of Nosara in Costa Rica.
In October 2026, the journey expands beyond borders to include the mystical Sacred Valley of Peru — a powerful addition to the experience.
